A lovely afternoon was had by all, with snacking on tasty homemade treats, making candles, adding personal milestones to the LAVA timeline, and mingling with the larger LAVA Community.

  It has been a very busy year, and the office and studio will be closed from December 20 to January 1 so we can take a rest and be ready to greet you all again in the new year. LAVA will be in heavy rehearsal mode beginning in January, preparing for our show that will premiere in June at Dixon Place.

The busy times that began in September will continue through December 19, when the Fall Class Session comes to a close. Before then, we hope to see you at the following events.

  Join us November 14 at 8pm for Night of Renegades, our open performance night. Always a surprise. Email molly@lavalove.org if you want to perform, or just come watch! Or join on us on December 11 at 7pm for the kid version, called Magma Mix.

  We are more than halfway through the fall session. Parents, friends, and family are invited to watch the last day of each kids' class in our studio. Check the class schedule for specific times. Registration for the winter session will begin on Monday, December 7.

  LAVA invites you to join us for a PARTY at the LAVA Studio on December 6 from 3 to 5pm. Come celebrate the season, eat some goodies, and enjoy the chance to hang out with the larger LAVA community.   Come to Becket, MA, to see LAVA perform we become at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival on July 30 at 6:30pm -- free!

  We are very excited to return to Michigan Womyn's Music Festival to perform once again on the Acoustic Stage August 8, 2009 at 4:30pm. Catch our show along with dozens of other performances, films, workshops, and more in this week-long festival.

  We did it! We stood on our hands for a collective 4 hours and 37 minutes and raised $20,000 at this year's Handstand-a-Thon. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make it such a great success.
